Today I am on the blog with my personal angel. During last weekend I spent time doing what I like the most: sitting in the garden, drinking coffee, reading books and creating 🙂 In these hectic and sometimes tough times it is important to take care of ourselves. And doing things, that we love, is one of the best ways.
The base for my project is an Ikea frame. I took away the glass and used it to create something meaningful for me. I love Finnabair metal plates because there are fabulous words that could uplift everyone’s mood. What I would like to remind myself of is looking for the magic in daily things, daily events and everything, that surrounds me. Looking for the magic is something, that reminds me, that life is interesting, magical and worth living.
As the background I used 7 Dots Studio Air Mail collection paper and then I started building my project. At the beginning I took lots of elements, that I prepared earlier using resin and Finnabair moulds (all supplies are at the bottom of this post). I glued them down using Heavy Body Gel (best for such purpose) and covered everything with Finnabair Gesso White. After everything had dried, I started adding colour – at first using totally fabulous new Sparks colours – Chest of Gold and then I worked with waxes. In the meantime I decided to add some Mechanicals, micro beads, Art Stones and Pearls. Working with media is great, because when you do not like the effect you can redo your project and start over 🙂
Here are some close-ups:
Thank you for visiting the blog today and watching my project.
